Rainbow Awards

The Bangor Pride Rainbow Awards is a series of awards given to recognize local individuals who make a difference for our LGBTQ+ community.

Nominations are now open! Let's celebrate the incredible individuals who make our community sparkle! Help us recognize their outstanding contributions by nominating someone who inspires you!

Rainbow Award Categories

Black: Racial Justice

This award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to advancing racial equality and justice in our community.

Brown: Immigrant Justice

This award celebrates individuals who have shown outstanding dedication and advocacy for the rights and well-being of immigrants in our community.

Pink: Sexuality

This award honors individuals who have been champions for LGBTQ+ rights and promoting sexual acceptance.

Red: Life

This award acknowledges individuals who have demonstrated resilience and courage, and positivity in the face of challenges.

Orange: Healing

This award recognizes individuals who have made notable efforts to promote healing, wellness, and mental health awareness.

Blue: Art

This award celebrates individuals who embody their creative and artistic talents to inspire and raise visibility.

Green: Nature

This award honors individuals who have shown outstanding commitment to environmental sustainability and conservation efforts.

Yellow: Sunlight

This award celebrates individuals who bring joy, positivity, and brightness to the lives of others.

Indigo: Harmony

This award recognizes individuals who have worked tirelessly to promote unity, cooperation, and understanding in our community.

Violet: Human Spirit

This award honors individuals who exemplify resilience, compassion, and empathy in their interactions with others, embodying the best of the human spirit.

Nominations will close on May 15th, 2024. All nominations will be subject to Bangor Pride Planning Committee approval.
